Q1: How may I contact you?
A1: Send me an e-mail (hawk@pld…). You may be sure that I'll read it and will try to answer it ASAP (if required).
A2: Jabber me (hawk@pld…). Note: if your message will arrive while I'm busy/in work/etc I may forgot about it and it will remain unanswered. In such case please send your message again or refer to A1.
A3: Catch me on irc (#pld @ freenode or ircnet). Note: I'm not checking IRC on daily basis. Your message may be answered in few days or not anserwed at all. Please don't use IRC for sending some important informations/requests. Check A1 before you'll send me some vital info via IRC.

PLD 1.0/1.1 (Ra) information

PLD Ra has reached EOL (End of Life). It will not be updated anymore. It is strongly recommended to upgrade to Ac as soon as possible! However the infrastructure for Ra is still online, so if anyone has enough knowledge and willingness to resurrect it, you are welcome.

PLD 2.0 (Ac) short FAQ

Q: What kernels will be available in Ac?
A: Newest possible 2.4 and 2.6. 2.4 series kernel will include same features as it has now, 2.6 is being reworked right now and it will probably provide very basic grsecurity, vserver and xen. This will be default one for the distribution. Few other versions may be available too (depends if someone will do them): full grsec, vanilla, desktop/notebook oriented etc.

Q: When Ac will be released?
A: Check AcInfo page

Q: Will package X version Y go to Ac?
A: That depends on many many things. Does new version requires lot of rebuilding? Will it break other packages? Will it change package functionality? Will someone make/maintain required changes in CVS? And a lot more… Some important things like gcc, glibc, X11 etc. will not be changed. Less important packages may and even should be upgraded or Ac will be outdated one day after its release date.

What I'm currently working on (in my free time)?

• installer (bootdisks) for PLD 2.0 (Ac) - these are quite usable now, so I'll abandon this project after releasing stable version of Ac
• PLD 2.0 (Ac)
• many other things not related with PLD

What I'm planning to do if time will allow?

• new bootdisk(s) allowing to install very base PLD (but not new installer), w/o wizards and automation, see http://hawk.jogger.pl/2006/03/10/prowizorka-v2/ for more details (page is in polish only, sorry).
