Some developers use our jabber server and can be contacted through it. Account names are exactly the same as our mail aliases. To be sure which jabber account a developer really uses, consult the users file mentioned on the mail aliases page (fourth, optional, entry in a line is a developer's jid).

Developers may ask for a jabber account by sending their account name and a password to the jabber server admin, reachable at mmazur@kernel.pl.

Although a jabber account is in the form accountname@pld-linux.org, clients should connect to jabber.pld-linux.org, not pld-linux.org. Not all clients allow to manually specify the server's address, so developers are required to choose one, that has such ability (one of the most popular would be Psi).
